Mission
The John Cirillo Songwriting Scholarship seeks to foster the next generation of songwriters and artists through mentorship and access to career-changing resources.
The JCSS welcomes one recipient a year into our 12 month mentorship program.
The JCSS has partnered with some of the music industry's most respected names to offer scholarship winners free studio time, access to industry professionals, and unique career-changing events.
The goal of this scholarship is to offer these unique music industry experiences to aspiring professional songwriters who may not otherwise have the opportunity to access them.
Pillars
We hope to embody the signature spirit of John in every decision, and continue the mentorship and work that he started. To do that, we had a good long think about the way John treated people. The way he treated the artists he worked with, the writers he wrote with, his family, friends, and even perfect strangers.
We came up with these four pillars to help guide the scholarship. In every decision, we strive to embody these qualities John so effortlessly showed us:
